1. Why this page exists
Parts of Frolick are produced by generative AI. Several laws now require us to say so clearly and to mark the result, among them Article 50 of the EU AI Act, the Kazakh Law on Artificial Intelligence, Peru’s Supreme Decree 115-2025-PCM, and the Russian federal law on AI development. This page explains what we mark, how, and what you can do about it.2. Where AI is used
AI runs only when you ask it to — nothing is generated behind your back. It can produce:- Text: lesson plans, exercises, card content, descriptions and titles.
- Images: illustrations, board backgrounds and card artwork.
- Audio: narration and sound effects.
3. How AI content is marked
Every element an AI produced carries a visible label wherever it is shown — on cards, on detail pages, in the editor, on printed sheets and in PDF exports, and in social previews. Generated images additionally carry a machine-readable mark inside the file itself (the IPTC “digital source type” property, set to trainedAlgorithmicMedia), so the origin survives download and sharing. We record which model produced each element and when.4. Editing does not remove the mark
If you edit AI-generated content, the label changes wording — from “AI-generated” to “AI-assisted, edited” — but it does not disappear. The obligation attaches at the moment the content was generated, and editing it afterwards does not undo that.5. Claiming your own authorship
If you have reworked a piece of content so thoroughly that it is genuinely your own, you can remove its mark from that item’s page. We keep a record of the decision — who made it and when — because the legal exemption for reviewed content rests on a person taking editorial responsibility for it.6. What we cannot promise
AI output can be wrong, and you should check it before teaching from it. Metadata inside a file can be stripped by other software once the file leaves us; the marking inside Frolick is unaffected. Audio files currently carry the mark in our records and on screen, but not inside the file.
