1. Why this page exists
Parts of Frolick are produced by generative AI. We say so clearly and mark the result, in the same way for every user. Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the AI Act) and Article 21 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Artificial Intelligence" require this; Russian Federal Law No. 243-FZ of 26 July 2026 "On supporting the development of artificial intelligence technologies in the Russian Federation" provides for warnings about the use of AI and for informing users about the rights to generated results. This page explains what we mark, how, and what you can do about it.
2. Where AI is used
AI runs only when you ask it to — nothing is generated behind your back. It can produce:- text: lesson plans, exercises, card content, descriptions and titles;
- images: illustrations, board backgrounds and card artwork;
- audio: narration and sound effects.
AI also recognises speech in voice input, recognises text in uploaded images and documents, and acts as the voice assistant in lessons. 3. How AI content is marked
Every element an AI produced carries a visible label wherever it is shown — on cards, on material pages, in the editor, on printed sheets and in PDF exports, and in social previews. Generated images additionally carry a machine-readable mark inside the file itself (the IPTC “digital source type” property, set to trainedAlgorithmicMedia), so the origin survives download and sharing. For every element we record which AI service produced it and when, and for images and audio also the model.
4. Editing does not remove the mark
If you edit AI-generated content, the label changes wording — from “AI-generated” to “AI-assisted, edited” — but it does not disappear. The obligation attaches at the moment the content was generated, and editing it afterwards does not undo that.
5. Claiming your own authorship
If you have reworked a piece of content so thoroughly that it is genuinely your own, you can remove its mark on that material’s page in the catalogue. We keep a record of the decision — who made it and when — because the exemption from labelling for human-reviewed content rests on a person taking editorial responsibility for it.
6. Who owns the results and where they are kept
- We claim no rights to results AI produced at your request: you may use them on the same terms as your own Content (section 8 of the Terms of Service). Generated results may not be protected by copyright, may match results produced for other users and may infringe the rights of others — check them before publishing.
- Results are kept in your workspace until you delete them and are available only to you and to those you share them with.
- To carry out a request, we pass its text and the materials you chose to AI model providers, including foreign ones; the list of recipients and the transfer conditions are in the Privacy Policy. We do not train models on your Content. Do not send students' personal data or other sensitive information to AI features.
7. What we cannot promise
AI output can be wrong, and you should check it before teaching from it. Metadata inside a file can be stripped by other software once the file leaves the Service; the marking inside Frolick is unaffected. Audio files currently carry the mark in our records and on screen, but not inside the file.
