Payment terms
Version dated 30 September 20261. What this document covers
- This document describes how paid features of the Frolick service are paid for: payment methods, subscriptions, the trial, promo codes, quotas and refunds. It is part of the Public offer; terms have the meaning given in it and in the Terms of Service. In case of conflict, the Public offer prevails.
- The provider is Ulyana V. Stepanova, self-employed, taxpayer ID 544052568288 (see About the operator).
2. Definitions
- Plan — the set of paid features and quotas described on the pricing page at the time of payment.
- Subscription — access to a Plan for a billing period (month, quarter or year) with automatic renewal.
- Quota — a numeric limit on certain features (e.g. the number of AI generations, storage volume) within a Plan and period.
- Trial — free access to a Plan for the period stated on the pricing page (7 days by default), where offered. It may require a bank card or not (see section 6).
- Promo code — a code giving a discount or bonus on the conditions stated when it is issued.
3. Payment methods and payment providers
- Payment is accepted by bank card and other methods offered by the payment provider on the checkout page. If you use the Service from the Russian Federation, payments in roubles are processed by YooKassa (YooMoney non-bank credit institution LLC); from other countries, payments in US dollars are processed by Stripe. The country is determined from your IP address or, if that fails, from the country in your profile or the interface language. Trials that require a card are set up through Stripe.
- Card details (number, expiry date, security code) are entered on the provider's page or form and are not passed to the provider of the Service. We receive only the payment result and masked details (card type, last digits).
- Prices are shown on the pricing page in roubles for YooKassa and in US dollars for Stripe. The provider of the Service pays the Russian professional income tax and is not a VAT payer, so prices do not include VAT. Fees of your card issuer and currency conversion depend on your bank.
- For every payment we issue a receipt in the Russian tax service's "My Tax" app, as required by Article 14 of Russian Federal Law No. 422-FZ. A link to the receipt is available under "Billing" → "Payment history"; on request the receipt is sent by email.
4. Saved payment methods
- When you start a Subscription or a trial that requires a card, the payment method is stored with the payment provider as a token for later automatic charges. We do not store full card details.
- You may at any time refuse the use of your saved details for recurring payments (Article 16.1(4.2) of the Russian Consumer Protection Law): delete the payment method under "Billing" → "Payment methods" or write to support@frolick.ru. After that we do not use those details for charges. If no payment method remains while a Subscription is active, the Subscription will not renew at the end of the paid period.
- The provider may run additional checks (3-D Secure and similar) and set limits on amounts and the number of transactions.
5. Subscriptions
- A Subscription is paid in advance for the billing period and renews automatically for the same period until you cancel it. The charge for the next period may be taken up to 3 days before the current period ends. The renewal price is the price at which you subscribed; we announce any change by email at least 14 days before the first charge at the new price, and you may cancel before that charge.
- You can cancel a Subscription at any time under "Billing" ("Cancel subscription"). Access to the Plan continues until the end of the paid period, after which the account moves to the free plan. Until the period ends, the cancellation can be undone. Cancelling does not affect your right to a refund under section 9.
- Upgrading to a more expensive Plan takes effect immediately: you pay the price difference for the remaining days of the period. Downgrading to a cheaper Plan takes effect from the next billing period, with no charge.
- If a charge fails, we retry during a grace period and notify you in the Service. If payment is still not received when the grace period ends, access to the Plan stops and the account moves to the free plan.
6. Trial
- A trial is granted once per account and once per bank card: a card that has already been used to start a trial on any account is not accepted for a new one. For this check we store a card identifier supplied by the payment provider; it cannot be used to recover the card number or other card details. We may refuse a trial on other signs of abuse too.
- Trial with a card. Before it starts, the checkout page shows the date the trial ends and the price and frequency of the charges that follow. If you have not cancelled the Subscription before the trial ends, it becomes paid and the first charge is taken automatically. Until the first charge you can cancel without paying anything.
- Trial without a card. Where stated on the pricing page, a new account receives a trial of a Plan without a payment method once its email address is confirmed. It does not renew and does not turn into a paid Subscription: when it ends, the account moves to the free plan and nothing is charged. Buying a paid Subscription during such a trial ends it early — the paid Plan applies from then on. We may stop offering this trial to new accounts; trials already started run to their end.
- Materials created during a trial are kept after it ends; how to work with them beyond the free-plan quotas is described in section 8.
7. Promo codes
- A promo code is applied on the checkout page before the payment is confirmed. Its conditions (discount, validity, number of uses, Plans) are set when it is issued.
- Promo codes cannot be combined or exchanged for cash. Refunds are based on the amount actually paid after the discount. We may cancel an unused promo code obtained in breach of its distribution rules.
8. Quotas
- Plan quotas reset at the start of each billing period unless the pricing page says otherwise. Unused quota does not carry over.
- We may change the composition and size of quotas for new billing periods, announcing it on the pricing page and by email at least 14 days in advance. Quotas are not reduced within a paid period.
- If you have more materials than your current Plan allows (for example after a trial ends or after downgrading), they are not deleted: you can open them, run them, show them to students, share them and delete them. You can edit them and create new ones once their number is back within the quota or after moving to a Plan with a larger quota.
9. Cancellation and refunds
- You may withdraw from a Subscription at any time (Article 32 of the Russian Consumer Protection Law, Article 782 of the Russian Civil Code). In that case we refund the unused part of the paid billing period in proportion to the number of full days remaining; access to the Plan ends on the date of the refund. No other deductions are made.
- Request a refund under "Billing" → "Payment history" → the payment → "Request refund", or by email to support@frolick.ru. Requests are reviewed within 10 calendar days.
- Consumers in the EU/EEA additionally have a 14-day right of withdrawal without giving reasons; see section 9 of the Public offer.
- If the service is not properly provided through our fault (in particular, paid features are unavailable for more than 24 consecutive hours), you may demand a proportionate price reduction — a refund of the cost of the downtime or a credit towards the next period, at your choice — and exercise the other rights the law gives you.
- Refunds are made by the method used for payment. The time until the money arrives depends on the payment provider and your bank (usually up to 10 business days). On a refund we cancel or adjust the "My Tax" receipt.
10. Other
- Payment records are kept for 5 years after the end of the year in which the payment was made (Article 23(1)(8) of the Russian Tax Code).
- Payment questions: support@frolick.ru or the Contact page.
